After spending more than 6 years in SunGard, I have moved to Aditi Technologies Pvt Ltd. It was really great experience working on SunGard where I have been part of multiple product releases. I learned quite a lot about product development which is quite a different ballgame than services. OneSolution Finacial is great product which survived the test of time with very elegant, scalable and extendable architecture. In ONESolution Financial I work on various technologies raging from oldest to newest, web to desktop, web extension to SOA, single machine to server farm and green terminal to WPF/ASP.Net. I feel SunGard is great company to work for where someone can learn quite a lot about product development. I suggest everyone from services to be in product development company for some time to understand how products are built and maintained. I was feeling really emotional while leaving SunGard. When you stay in a company for longer duration it becomes kind of extended family. And if work culture and people around you are good, then you become more connected to company. But we know change is only constant in life and we need to embrace the change. Being in product development company for long time, I wanted to move once again to services to get some exposure of services area.
Aditi is pretty good company and has got lot of name on being a Microsoft partner. There were good number of developers joined SunGard from Aditi. While dealing with those people, I found they are really good in technology and they do some really great stuff on technology. To get some challenging technical work, I decided to join Aditi. I wanted to take some rest before joining next company but didn’t happen J.
